Dear Foby,
Couple of months back I did this same trail in my Armada Grand. Excellant trail and beautiful views. Initially,the regular jeep drivers were very sceptical seeing the long wheel base vehicle.

Palakkad NH from vadakanchery just after mangalam bridge take right to nenmmara route...from nenmara center take again right besides the bus stand stright 30km drive will take us to nelliyampathi....but to get to mampara its not possible , else u should have proper understanding with forest officials.

The land mark is mangalam bridge !
