'Atom' too enjoyed OTR

Atom must be habituated to OTR. Here seen keeping an eye on where wheels are.

While all this OTR activity was going on for couple of hours, plane pilots got interested and wanted to join OTR. They were using 'landing gear' whereas others were using '4L'.

Motocamp,
Your jeep now looks severely under-tyred!! People who owned sandgrips do not seem to go for it again!

Yes it is , severly under tyred. The bkt sand master's were a good tyre but , the on road ride quality and braking along with premature tyre wear (18000km) leave a lot to be desired, plus they are very heavy , though on the plus side with all the off road and cross country driving i never ever had a puncture on them!

Anything you guys could recomend?

Hey Devang this was not a really big event it was just like a small meet. The place was really good but its not even half the length of rajmachi you guys would spend more time on road coming to this place than really offroading. It must have been hardly about 2 1\2 to 3hours of Offroading. Places like rajmachi and Sarwarsi are the places for really big combined offroading anyway next time ill inform you.
Yes its the same mm550 of Amit's that Ajit fell of at Rajmachi. Yes the jumping jack is back.
Hey Cogaur no need for Burnol it just shows how well the Mumbai and Pune gangs have great bond and the its not often that one leaves the other and go offroading. Hey Devang and gang i hope no hard feeling taken.

one lesson i learnt this time was that its best to look for OTR trails closer home. Rajmachi or Sawarsi are over 2 hours away from either Pune or mumbai. By the time we get there half the day is over!

a short-n-sweet session like the one in Kharadi was perfect in that sense.

Fortunately Pune has quite a few of these OTR trails: kharadi, bapdeo, NIBM, Wakad etc all within 15 mins drive! In mumbai i have seen quite a few places around Nerul, Ghodbunder and ahead of Kalyan (towards Shahad) which are perfect for quickie OTR's.

so nomads and lone wolves: when do we plan our next OTR? How about 28th Feb, 6AM?

OT question: The dif between a 540 and 550 is only seating capacity right? The 540 was 6 seater and 550 a 8 seater. Anything else?
