Re: 2011 Mumbai OTR Season: Plans & Discussions

@Paras,

Drag in Mumbai can be postponed or cancel anytime but still we will try to avoid it.
Even Ibu said lets do Mahabaleshwar but i think it will be too far.

We can try exploring Mahpe more but we WONT even enter the route what we normally take. we all can do that bit in our sleep too.

I can speak to my friend. he has land in Karjat and Mumbai Goa road and he is ready to let EXOs come for OTR whenever we want to go there.

Cmon guys lets finalise one place asap and start exploring it more before the event day.

P.S

Can someone google it?? is it possible to get information on offroad trails?

Some of the trails below show promise...they may not be 'extreme' though but good enough for a weekend 'safari'

Adventure Trails

The number of vehicles may be a concern if they go thru villages.

Looks like no one showed them the "bullock cart trail" in lonavala...does it even exist?

I've tried it umpteen number of times. There is absolutely no documentation on off-road trails. We will have to search for trekking trails and take our off-road vehicles there to see whether those trails are wide enough to be driven on.

P.S - Rajmachi was a trekker's trail earlier

I have done couple of recces near Ambarnath. There are quite a good trails around. I have befriended couple of locals from the nearby villages who can help me find some good trails. Once my JEEP's T-case problem gets sorted out, I will start the recces again.

Most of these trails are a cakewalk for a JEEP or Gypsy. Trust me, I know.

Shahapur has some good spots though, Kothaligadh is moderate but would be tough during monsoons. There are some trails near Vikramgadh / Wada which would be awesome.

We did a reccee @ Rameshwar.

it was a nice log drive but not completely statisfied with terrain.

we have found 3 obstacles which were quite exciting. this place will be awesome in monsoon.

Thanks to Ravi for offering his farm for stay and OTR.

Re: 2011 Mumbai OTR Season: Plans & Discussions

Guys it is only 170km from Pune. Please go via Chakan after turning right from old bombay-pune highway. In any case if we find great terrain you will see it during the event so perhaps you guys can recce some other area just to get more coverage. No more Lonavala please...
