Hopefully the start of a new life for the Nissan 4W73.
Man, I never knew that the one tonne was so small. Look at the length.
Some more pics of the dismantling.

Hope to see it get completely restored! IIRC, the one Arka bought was never really completely restored - or at least the pics never made it to his thread.
Btw, what is it classified as? Heavy personal vehicle? lol!
Some more pics. I am sure it is rare to see pics of a stripped 4W73. If you need any specific pics, feel free to ask.
I have decided to fit power steering and zeroed in on Tata 709 steering box that seemed to require the least modifications. The drop arm was almost the same length as the original box also. Most importantly when turned to the right, the arm would move forward. Those who have done mods like this would appreciate the importance of this.
Ahh interesting vehicle and an even interesting restoration. Out of curiosity, what do you intend to do with this monster? Apologies for my noob question.

Well, it's registered as a recovery vehicle!!! That also means it's registered as a private vehicle and can use a white board. Since I now own a body shop and full fledged workshop I need a recovery vehicle to be eligible to be an insurance company approved setup. As I own it, I will also use it for personal use and offroading.
Joyeb sir, what is your plan for brake setup, seems it is inadequate with the power of that 4bt.
Some pics of the existing front brake drum and hub. I am also trying to make the cabin top removable with a flip windshield as was originally available on the 4W73.

I can't seem to find a large enough disc brake setup to modify. The stock drum brakes are pretty huge however.
Since the engine have air compressor,an air assisted brake booster can be used also a clutch booster too.
The power steering box bed is now ready.
