Finally, I have changed the set up. It is in line with what someone on this forum suggested. i.e. The heat exchanger has gone below the floor pan above the prop shaft with its own electric fan and a perforated sheet metal guard.....No Heating at low speeds because of the electric fan, and obviously no heating now at high rpms/speeds because of no hinderance to the air into the radiator. Hooray!

Scooby sir...any updates in the setup? hope you have not faced any over heating problems since then. looking forward to some pics of the setup. Will be really helpful.

Also has the AC cooling inside cabin been impacted due to the under-body location of the condenser?

Is there an electric fan between the under-body and condenser also?

My car is in Khandala, so next time I go there shall take snaps and post here.
In the meanwhile, I face a problem without the AC on, as the electric fan outside the front radiator only comes on with the AC causing overheating on expressway hill climb. So need to change the circuit.

That would be great!

But the problem you are facing now is only because you dont have the mechanical fan. Right? please correct me if i am wrong.

Under normal circumstances the mechanical fan would prevent the overheating when the AC is off.

Yes I guess will revert to the mechanical fan up front. Lesser electronics and failure scope.

Well just changing the circuit should do the trick easily in that case. Not sure if reverting to the mechanical setup is worth the money.

Also do you have an additional electric fan between the under body and the condenser?

So how does the mechanical fan work? Depend on wind pressure to rotate?

It depends on the engine rpm, its connected with a pulley and a belt.

Gents - Phew, quite a few issues I have gone through post my acquisition of the 413.

The issue relevant to this thread is Heating. My car is heating up quite a bit and then refuses to start for sometime. I’ve got an electrical fan and I am not sure if this would be apt. I do not want to land up just replacing parts or putting a new clutch fan, would like to narrow down on the exact issue first.

I don't want to..rain on anybody's parade...and cool their ardor. But it is referred to in the auto industry as a "cooling problem" because the system that is supposed to keep engine temperature down is not doing the job. It's just convention. You will find threads on cooling problems on this site.

Do share more details of the exact issue, how old your vehicle is, how many kilometers or Odo etc.

Apologies for the delayed response.

I had an electrical fan earlier and changed the same to a Mechanical Fan and this resolved the issue. Alongside changed the entire Gypsy wiring as well.

The Gypsy does not heat up as much as earlier. Only during bumper to bumper traffic it heats up a bit.
