MM550 chain timing Help!

Hi I wanted to know the chain timing mark sequence.

Mine is one dot on crankshaft matched with dot on timing chain, painted line on chain matched to line on camshaft sprocket, painted dot and line matched to line on chain.

All the timing marks align together.

The reason i ask is the exhaust valves of all cylinders are slightly touching the piston.

How can the timing be right but the valves touch the piston!

Please help Arka, Behram , james...anyone!

The head gasket is the number three gasket.

If you look at the pump sprocket, it has both punched line and painted dot to denote timing mark but the chain has only one painted dot.

The one dot on the timing chain should be matched to the crankshaft dot or the pump sprocket dot?

For a XD3P usually the white dot mark is only seen near the crank sprocket, rest two (CAM and FIP) sprockets have a white line/marking on them, why isn't it the same here?
