re: MM 550 XDP (Wife) vs CJ/CL 340 DP (Girlfriend)

Post the trial run and the successful 4X4 test, the jeep was taken for a good wash.

After a few last minute touch ups at the garage, we took the jeep to our village and on the way clicked few pictures with the new beast.

Congrats on ur buy-restoration. Thats a really cool write-up and one super macho looking jeep. All the writings in the world will not sum up the pain, sweat, Ttime, energy, money that you'd have undertaken to bring this beauty to its present state.

Any more repairs/modifications to be done?

If not too much to ask, can you pm me the costs as i have one round of service pending for my jeep.

Thanks, Cheerz..

Thank you VikZ. I will certainly keep sharing my experience with the jeep and will be uploading few more pictures to do the talking. As for the cost, I will certainly let you know the expenses borne by me.

As for modifications, I haven't planned for too many of them, but will slowly and steadily move forward with the process, of getting it in the form I want.

Thank you Harry.

Well, I won't be getting it to Delhi any time shortly. As for the price, I got it for 1.3 Lacs from the dealer and spent close to 1.2 Lacs to bring it to a road worthy condition including paperwork.

Re: MM 550 XDP (Wife) vs CJ/CL 340 DP (Girlfriend)

Eventhough, had been constantly surfing the site, did not update my very own thread in a while.

As decided by me previously, the jeep is still being used as a test mule and nothing much has been changed. No upgrades, restorations etc etc. Still running it on bare bones. Engine sounds and runs good, 4WD is fun to play around with and gearbox is not playing any games with me either.

Had few electrical break downs and twice a fuel line blockage. Apart from this the vehicle has been used roughly enough for a 4WD. Had been constantly used as a workhorse to ferry stuff ranging from all aspects of a house hold. The only change done to the looks is removal of the rear seats and the entire rear canopy bracket. Posting some pics of the Beast.
