Hi Guys,

Just look at these photos and ignore the body work, but can you make out what kind of donor vehicle is under the body?

Parm.

Looks like it used to be a mini Pajero????

Seems like an old Scorpio below that, this guy is the local John Rambo of his district ? Just missed finding any RPG rocket launchers on this jeep

I would it is a Gypsy underneath.
The front somehow looks Gypsy like, the rest of course has little resemblance !

I was going to say Scorpio cause the front has the same scoop.
Difficult to imagine why someone would do this to a Scorpio.

definitely a scorpio...the wheel pcd and suspension says it out

Front independent suspension = yes
Drive to the front wheels = yes
Rear independent suspension = Yes
Drive to the rear wheels = can't see
Front suspension = lower wishbone and upper strut
Rear suspension = looks like lower wishbone and upper strut

Neither a Scorpio nor a Gypsy. Not many SUV type vehicles around with the above combo in the Indian scene.

Would like to know what's underneath!

I think what this local rambo has is butchered skoda yeti, because yeti comes with all four independent suspension.

I might be wrong but this is just a guess

The mud seems to have been plastered by hand?

See how carefully the bottom half is all muddy and the top half the exact opposite?

Munna likes to project the Rambo image but obviously without the sweat or dirt.

Any shots of the interior ? That should let out the details.

Otherwise the only other option would be to identify with the number plate at the local registration office about which is the original car registered lol:

Is this the final vehicle?

It is done by Ground Designs in Pune.

Shankar, thanks for a checking the under the body, yes you are very correct in saying its neither a Gypsy nor a scorpio.

Its certainly not an Indian brand OEM vehicle.

I wish you guessed it wrong.
Of course, the outcome is an eye pleasing product but at the cost of butchering a Yeti? Well, looks the initial poster has aptly named this thread as "Donor" vehicle!

Thanks ISpoke. it was just a guess since yeti was the only vehicle i could think of looking at these pics

But, it doesn't appeal to me much. the stock yeti is much more visually pleasing

What is it ? some Land rover discovery wreck under it ?
