Mahindra Pik-up / Getaway - Export version with Diff Locks

Hi Guys,

Mahindra exports a better version of its Getaway to down under compared to us Indians.

The Aussie version comes with a factory fitted diff locks!

Here is a write up of a guy in down under who converted the Getaway/Pikup to his needs. Lots of discussions and photos are on his thread.

Re: Mahindra Pik-up / Getaway - Export version with Diff Locks

The features of the export version of bolero camper 4wd were discussed somewhere else on the forum and it was absolutely drool worthy, but the diff locks in getaway is a news for me! Anyways, it is 'good' to know the improvements compared to the Indian versions but never expect these to be available here!

Mate you can get the MLD locks available off the shelf in India. The details are on this thread.

Too much rear overhang, IMO

Re: Mahindra Pik-up / Getaway - Export version with Diff Locks

After seeing the "Super Milo" I am impressed with this platform as a expedition vehicle.
I was in a hurry, so could not study the vehicle in detail, but next time I visit Jaskirat at Sarbloh, I will check out the vehicle in more detail and post more pictures.

However, I am pretty disappointed that Australians get a 6 year warranty for this vehicle. Mahindra should give atleast 5 years in India if they are serious about the market.

The Scorpio in Getaway guise is somewhat popular here. Here is one i clicked in Sydney, which is used by the Sydney Harbour Tunnel group. There was more than one parked together.

Tanveer Saab,
M&M unfortunately offer only one year warranty for Getaways sold in India. They come with the older 2.6 Liter CRDE Engine and with no MLD when compared to the 2.2 Liter MHawk Engine & MLD. They carry all basic safety features like the ABS, Cruise Control, Anti-Pinch Windows.

Yes the Getaway might look ugly but is much more comfortable when compared to Xenon.
