I always admire an offroader when i see it, and yours is no exception mate, but i am of the species who would never get their mind ready to buy them.

I think its a way of life, awesome ride I am sure you will have fun with it.

I like the Monstar.

RuffRyder, Same question as Jaggu. Where is this place and what's the off-road part in these pictures? All I can see is a road.

Why don;t you join in tomorrow (15th june) for an OTR in Bangalore. Details here:

3) got a break booster of esteem, breaking is amazing now.
Had those fitted way back in 2000 on my King-by Maruti themselves!

Wonder how a 1.3 Multijet would do in it
The MPFI King comes with it I think.

In Our times/days most conversions to diesel were toyota and the 4X4 front diff had to come off.

Exactly - but are there any 6 cylinder 2.5 litre diesels? I've known of the 5 cylinder ones of the mercs though!

Well, for starters, you've got good tyres, so going offroad will be fun as long as you are daring to go!

Even driving on sand is not a problem with good tyres as long as you keep the momentum. Its only when you are in start / stop situations that the 4wd is needed. Also the strain on the engine is less with 4wd.

Why not try and source an adaptor plate to retain your 4wd. What engine do you currently have and what gearbox?

For me, the money is not the main problem in doing modifications. It is the complexity coupled with the fact that I live in a remote area that does not have great mechanical shop options.
