215/15- 4700

Thanks. The sizes give are not complete they should be like 235 x 75 / R15 or so. The second figure is important to guess the overall height of the tyre. Can you pleaes check them for me. Also what about more broader size as 265 x 75 or 265 x 70.

, can you please also let me know how is Yoko brand as I never have heard this name.

Yes there were 2 last week. Not sure of they are sold or still available. You can also check the Sunday DC paper. I have seen a couple ads there as well.

True,
That is a friends Willy's and the guy had sent it for denting and painting when it came back that is how it looked. But now the same vehicle has gone for restoration and should hopefully come back with character.

Cheers !!

info

Hey randeep good looking jeep its called the M38A1 originally came with 24volt electrical s hence the box right after the bonnet to house two batteries. Most of them came into India during the Indo Pak war and were either left behind by the pakis or were seized by the Indian army from them. M38A1`s are really quite rare.

Hi Ssarmast,

My dads cousins own one but the irony is that its in Kilazafargarh at their factory. Infact they have 2 low bonnet jeeps as well, a Willy's and a Ford amongst a vast collection on vintage and classic cars.

My dad and his cousins have pics of them crossing the ram ganga in the M38A1, they were clicked in the year 74-75. I'll try and get a hold of those photographs and post them up.

Regards,

Randeep

Re: Kaiser and Willy's

I saw some Kaisers in Bhopal. But here I guess painting them green is prohibited a lot of Jeeps in Bhopal are just primer coated!

But most of these Kaisers in Bhopal run on Toyota or Isuzu Diesels picked up from Mumbai.

The Hurricane engine has been replaced.

I drove a similar which belonged to my friend Shahawar Khan. Much like CJ3B except the body shell.
