India as a market has not matured for or possibly required a twin cab pickup the way we see these in markets like Thailand even in the cities.
The Xenon holds huge potential and TATA is missing out on the first mover advantage. We might find a Toyota Hilux capturing this market at a later stage if priced properly.
It is quite debatable if this is really a utility segment or a lifestyle segment. We today view it as a lifestyle segment and the buyers who would find it truly of use as a utility vehicle can't afford it out here in India.
Feel TATA could have priced it better as also made the second cab seating a bit better.
The lift package on the 207 above is indeed a nice indicator of what a Xenon can be. Nothing to beat the classic pickup truck looks.

That Xenon is a 100% body lift job btw. Info from the 4x4 India FB group. Certainly looks nice though.
What size tyres do you people think it has on?
