4x4 Vehicles
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/4x4-vehicles/)
I recently picked up a petrol Cj4a with hurricain engine and 3 speed GB with 4wd from a govt scrap dealer here in Nagpur which I may say I got for a throw away price as the dealer wasn't aware of the value of this jeep.
The same dealer is expecting a lot of Diesel CJ 500D's with 4wd with international engine from another govt auction. Posting here for the benefit of forum members. The auction is on the 12th of Oct and the scrap dealer is located in Mominpura in Nagpur. I will try to get some details on the jeeps.
regards,
Dr. A Ghosh

Do we still get the MG410W in the auctions? If yes, then what would be an approx price to pay for a running condition one? Has anyone recently got hold of any such model?
didnt know where to post it thats why posting it here..Can someone please tell me what car is this?.the blue Estilo belongs to my friend so didnt blank the plates
That's a Maruti Gypsy modded to look like a Hummer. One of the most shoddy jobs I have seen. Great way to spoil a great vehicle :(

Brother, some facts about this vehicle from the link below
Harish Chappa Hassan Versus Commissioner of Customs>2009(04)LCX0349
This vehicle i reckon is standing with the customs for the last 5 yrs.
It can be a pain to restore a vehicle like this back to health.
If you are interested in this car then FYI the last time this car was put up for auction I got a high bid of appx 11.5 lakh. And it has been put up for auction a couple of times earlier also.
I have been tracking the auctions and the 410s go for 60-70k or sometimes even lesser. I am also in the hunt for 1 of these. Keep me informed if anyone is going after 410 lots. Would look to team up.
Fyi there's an auction tomorrow @ jabalpur cod with many mg410s.

Anyone wants to team-up for a lot of 413Ws??
With so many of them up for sale this time, there is a chance for us getting them cheap.
Contact by PM
Thanks
Sumit
Will we get running condition 413s within a lakh. If yes, then i am game or i shall settle for MG410W but not MG410.
These are Jeeps waiting to be auctioned(and to be in better hands) at Collectorate, Alappuzha. The Roplas hard top is a CL500 4wd and the other is a commander 2wd( both these vehicles are comparitively in good condition). The MM540 is 4WD but the Major, 2004 or 2005 model, is 2WD
Hi All,
i had a chat with Abheek who has prior experience in getting auctioned vehicles.
Here is the deal.
Once you get a vehicle, there are other add on costs attached to it.
Transfer of the vehicle costs around 30k
add transport as you cant drive without a registration - 10k (assuming i get a vehicle in north and have to transport to mumbai)
then register it with your RTO - a few thousands and you cant register in metros as these are non BS4.
So if you get a vehicle for 80k, you have 40k plus which takes the overall cost to around 1.5L. Now thats something thats to be thought about as there are several civilian gypsy's or jeeps that you might find for that price and less abused as well.
What are your thoughts people? Am i correct in thinking on these lines? Is it worth the effort to go through the auction route?
^^ "Transfer of the vehicle costs around 30k" Please elaborate
the only thing i am aware of is auction bid + taxes, Towing cost, registration cost. and then you restoration starts.
