Great looking Jeep, Jeep Captain. Now for some hardcore off road pictures. |
Beejay,
More pics from my last offroading trip. It was a trial run after the jeep buildup, hence no hardcore activities.
Sorry about the poor photo quality.
To be Continued....

Excellent pictures, especially the one after the two made it to the other side. Your Wrangler is looking fantastic!
Brilliant ! The last picture looks like the cover of a 90's american Truck Trend or some other auto magazine.

Thats a yellow beauty.Looks hot in those tires.
An absolutely droolworthy monstar (spello on purpose :D) that!
Love the transformation from the earlier "Shrikhand" Yellow to the Detonator Yellow!
I dont have words to express. The Wrangler is stunning, a killer, a beauty. Well, its a complete JEEP. I feel like coming all the way over there to have a glimpse of the off roader

BEEM3R, You are right. Mine is one of the very few Yj's which exists on UAE roads. Most of them are either abandoned or scrapped.

Friends, the good samaritan who came to pull me out was nothing but an International CXT!
I just googled for International CXT! and look what I found. courtesy wikipedia.
"CXT
The
International CXT or
Commercial Extreme Truck is a very large pickup truck. Introduced in September 2004, the CXT is 21 ft (6.4 m) long with a 9 ft (2.7 m) tall cab. It is the largest production pickup truck on the market, its curb weight of 14,500 lbs is around twice the weight of a
Hummer H1.
[4][3] Its
GVWR is 25,999 lbs.
[5]
The CXT is built on an International 7300 chassis and is equipped with the
DT 466 diesel engine and is capable of towing up to 20 tons while its air-ride cab and individual bucket seats offer a smooth ride for the driver and 4 adult passengers. The CXT's interior includes luxury options such as leather, DVD, and satellite radio.
[3] Mechanical features include
air brakes, an
Allison 2500HD automatic transmission, and
4 wheel drive. The CXT uses a
Meritor MTC 4208 two-speed transfer case. The CXT gets 8-10 miles per gallon, and has a 70 gallon tank.
[3] The CXT is priced from $93,000 to $115,000.
[3]
The CXT is built at the company's assembly plant in
Garland, TX.

International XT - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
CXT - The largest production pick up on earth that can tow upto 20 tons! :Frustrati
No wonder it pulled out my wrangler in literally 5 seconds and in that process Wrangler got lifted 2 feet above the ground.Sorry couldnt take pics of that since all these was over in less than a minute.
While the International CXT guy was helping me, few kids with their quad bike also came for assistance.
Look at the pics
While trying to pull myself out, I reduced the tyre pressure to 20 pounds or less. So I had to visit the nearest gas station to refill the tyres before I head back home.
Shibu
Friends,
Its been long time since I've updated this thread.
After getting stuck badly many times during my offroading trips, I started seriously thinking of buying a winch to stop this misery.
Checked out all the off road accessory shops here in Dubai for a 8000lbs+ winch from all major manufacturers like Warn, Ramsey, Britpart, Milemarker, Smittybilt and still I wasnt sure which one to go for due to two reasons.
1) it wasnt fitting my budget or too expensive and 2) it was too heavy ( more than 40 kg) I was basically looking for a lighter winch which will fit my budget. And to my luck last weekend I stumbled upon something which I have been searching for ages.
A whopping 10500 lbs winch which is only 30kg in weight with ultra strong sythentic rope and for a bargain price from a reputed brand! What more do i need!! I just picked it up straight away.
See pics for details
Will be installing it on my Wrangler this week and a detailed test report to follow.
