You should check out this video. It's from this year's WRC Portugese.

Both driver and co-driver came out with nothing more than some scratches. If it weren't for the roll cage, only God knows what would've happened.

Cheers.

The problem is I don't the extended cabin. Only form the esthetic's.
Ramsagar, Rollcage is purely to protect the driver and co-driver and there is no real use to extend it beyond the cabin.

Monkeyboy4u, True but you also loose space in the rear cabin with extended rollcage.

So like it or not, it's for your own safety.
Cheers.
racingmachine, thanks for sharing the info and video. You made it very easy for me

Awesome !!!

Thats an awesome colour combination you have there
the red and white looks good and the rollcage gives the machine some character.
Any plans of changing the registration to Kerala state ??

@ Jeepcaptain: Really amazing work, but just a small query on the wheel mounted on the rear door,
If you mount this on the inside floor of the pickup then isnt it that the vehicle will be more 'rally balanced', right now the rear door is bearing a weight and this might imbalance the vehicle in rally conditions.

Thanks Anup, All the while during the project I was thinking of keeping the Gypsy in full white colour including the cabin and It was a last minute plan to go for red cabin. I am glad that it turned out very well.
No, Gypsy will continue bearing DL plate.

AltoHoncho, yes you are absolutely right. The wheel has to be moved inside for better aerodynamics and balancing during rallies. But at the moment its kept on the door for saving cabin space.

Yet another beauty out of your stables Shibu. Loved it. Also the side by side snaps of Gypsy unlimited and Rally were cool. Surely both are built for the purpose.

How about another snap showcasing your complete arsenal.

Harjeev, Metal Cabin is done at Raj's Performance Auto.

Devang, Tow hook can be bought brand new or can be sourced from scrap dealers. But for gypsy you have to get the tow hook adpater plate fabricated. I think you can also source it from army gypsy disposal dealers.

Remu, Thanks a lot buddy. Yes rightly said. Both gypsies and all my other 4x4's are built for purpose.

Well, I dont have a pic of my full arsenal but I have one showcasing "one regiment of my 4x4 army". I am also working towards national intergration and unity through my 4x4's. Check out the number plates and you will know. ,

Here we go.

Sweet! The color combo really gives it character!

What suspension mods have you planned for this one?
Also why don't you cut the rear over hang, IMHO it will look great...

P.S.-I've read almost each and every thread on the Gypsy since I last spoke to you!
