How will that help. Extra cushioning will push you further and reduce your under thigh support. Get some aftermarket seats if you want some good thigh support!

The seat is not wide enough to support my back, so there is a gap between the seat and spinal cord which is resulting in a bad posture. I've been using the neck rest to support my spine (by filling the gap between the seat and the spine) and it is a LOT more comfortable and less painful.
So i thought may be by filling the seat with extra cushions would help.
The last resort would be going for an aftermarket seats.

Don't save on the seats. Get aftermarket. They are designed to support!

Went to Imperial over the weekend for a friend who wanted seat cover's for his new A-star AT. We had already gone a few weeks earlier and decided on colour, pattern and PU leather option. This was just for fitting.

Shivakumar and his guys really do a good job in the workmanship. There's no fault to be found in the quality and fit even for guys like me who look for attention to detail.

I got tempted and went for steering cover for my Figo as well. The steering cover's are pure leather unlike the seat covers which were PU.

What I really liked is that they are close to OEM quality. Shivakumar can also do OEM quality but that needs the steering wheel to be removed, airbag disconnected and then do the stitching. I did not want the steering wheel to be removed or any meddling with airbag. This is what guys like Ovion and Karlsson do as well.

He cuts 4 pieces of leather from a template he has for almost all cars. Then stitches them together. The final stitching is done by hand on the steering wheel itself. It's pretty labour intensive since he has to carefully stitch it inside the car itself.

Pictures of the A-star seat covers and my Figo steering cover. Notice the matching colour scheme with the OE seats of the Figo. Looks absolutely smashing.

Seat covers for A-star were 6.5K including the steering cover and steering cover alone for my Figo was Rs.700 :)

Got a pure leather steering wheel cover for my car from this shop.

The steering wheel now feels a lot more chunkier to hold and the leather has a nice rich premium feel to it.

The measurement, stitching and installation was completed in around an hour. I opted for black leather instead of grey as grey looked a bit dull / old. I was not particular in matching the grey interiors since the black looks a lot better and very classy.

Here are a few pics:

Costed me Rs. 700/- which I feel is very reasonable and VFM considering pure leather was used.

Thanks to fellow moderator Vid6639 for suggesting this place to me. I am also considering buying a bean bag from here. Yes, they make bean bags too. :)

I am planning to go there over the weekend to give measurement for my Dzire along with a friend's Ritz. Any other members interested in joining us? may be we could ask for a group discount.stupid:

They don't need to take measurements. All you need to do is go there and select the pattern and colour combination and pay advance. He has the templates of all the cars and does not need to take measurements.

Oh my, thats awesome. I was dreading to take the car and search for the shop:deadhorse, though I have been driving for almost 7 years now, a new car is always a difficult one to drive and this post came at the right time. Thanks Vidyut. you are a saviour.

Anyone please give the exact location of this shop ???
I am planning to do the Steering wheel and seat covers. It will be really helpful if you can give the directions if I am coming from Jayadeva hospital junction or mark the location in the Google map.

On Banerghatta road, drive towards IIM-B. Immediately after the IIM-B campus there is a left turn. Take that left and follow the road. There will be a right-left chicane a little ahead. After that you will see there is a small intersection with a lightpole in the middle of the road. Take the left turn. Go straight on that road. take the last right on this road just before it meets another road. There is a small vegetable shop next door to Imperial.
