Whoohoo!! A weekend of Hot-rods!!

Hey all,
I was lucky to pass by an area close to my house, where a huge vintage car & hot-rod rally was going on. I passed by the area on Saturday, and there were close to 400-500 cars from the 1940s all the way till the 1980s. American muscle cars, puck up truck, sedans..you name it and it was there. All of them were in pristine condition, and maintained so well. Bright colors & all shining !!
I couldn't by on Saturday, but I did go back on Sunday and found close to 40-50 cars. Will make sure I catch the action on the 1st day itself, the next time they have another rally.
Here are pictures that I took on Sunday. I haven't labeled each picture, so please bear with me. I'm sure most of you would be able to identify the vehicles. I loved the 1967 Chevy Camaro ...it was a stunner!!
Here goes..

An interesting sign board on a Harley that was on display..

And now for the grand finale ...my own 'not-so-hot rods'.. hehehe
The 2004 Mazda 3 ..2.3L 160bhp 4-cyl & the 2004 Kia Optima 2.6L 172bhp V6.. Gave them a nice wash before clicking away..

Speedy, I recollect my cousin telling me about someone in Mumbai who used to import these tires from the US during the early 1990's. There were a few guys who were into restoring old American muscle cars, and they were particular about every detail. I'm sure there are ways to find out if they can be imported,if its not available readily.

These are nice pictures, but the only car that is unique and rare in a muscle car show is the cream Studebaker Loewy coupe. You have to admire the clean and simple lines of this car. Specially when you consider it was made in an era of chintzy chrome-laden slobmobiles as epitomized by the '59 Cadillac, otherwise known as the Pimp Car.

nitin even i import parts and tyres for my cars, but i did not want to import the wheels for my muscle car so was wondering if it would be available in bombay. saves me alot of headache. in any case i would check at a few tyre shops and if they are not available then i would import them.
this is the wheel design that i am looking for to be exact.

Nice wheels! Those really give the car an extra punch. Enhances the masculine looks of the American muscle car..
