Classics spotted in New Zealand

A few years back while visiting New Zealand my father spotted this early Renault chugging about town. A remarkably original car, the really creditable fact was that the car was on a long distance trip, and in full working order, down to the early crude lubrication system. The car caused quite a spectacle in the otherwise sleepy town.

As with many tourist destinations, older vehicles are run as 'heritage taxis', or tour busses. In this case an old Bedford bus, plus an old amphibious vehicle was running tours. A handsome old pickup on display too drew some attention.

Also on the agenda was a visit to a small private collection on display. Cars were (expectedly) predominantly English, though a few quirks were also found like that strange jeep (GAZ?)
