Happy to inform everyone that I attempted to break the existing Guinness record for fastest cycling Solo (Men) from Leh to Manali on 25 September 2021.
I started at 4 AM on 25 September and finished at Manali at 2.54 PM on 26 September. The new record time being 34 hours & 54 Minutes.
I will be penning down the entire experience in a detailed post.
Thanks

Wow! clap:

That's an achievement in itself to cycle along that route, leave alone Guinness record. It would really be great to read about the preparation for this feat as well as how did the journey pan out with all details like breaks and health issues. Do post a detailed cycleogue.

Congratulations again. clap:

I did read about this in news but now we all will be getting a first hand report from you.

Heartiest congratulations on an awesome cycling achievement Hunter. :thumbs up Looking forward to your detailed narrative.

An infantry Col cyclist friend of mine had forwarded this to me a few days back. I had no idea you were a Bhpian too.

Cheers, Doc

Incredible:Cheering:

Most of us, cannot ride or drive to Leh from Manali in that amount of timerl:
You Sir, are a legend, Kudos to you for this amazing feat. More power to you.

Afaik, the previous record was held by a foreigner, what was his timing?

Awesome feat, Colonel. Congrats clap: It must have been a really tough terrain.
Awaiting your detailed write-up about the planning done, hydration, nutrition, rest-breaks, riding at night etc.

Mindblowing!
Take a bow Sir. Or should I say salute?

Absolutely stupendous achievement. Looking forward to your detailed post. I hope you share about your training regimen as well.

In the meanwhile rating this thread an absolutely well deserved 5 stars.

Many Congratulations to you Lt.Colonel. A stupendous feat indeed. Looking forward to your narrative on the whole journey and the effort and preparation that has gone behind it.

bibendum.

Wow! What an achievement! Hats off and a big salute for bringing in this record!

Looking forward to reading your experience.

What can I say? This is an extraordinary achievement. Congratulations Lt. Col.

Just a few weeks back I was talking to a friend regarding making plans for a self-supported Manali - Leh ride. Obviously, not a record attempt or anything like that. Just an adventure ride and a test of our mental and physical fitness.

What an achievement :thumbs up

Trying to grasp the numbers involved in terms of effort but reading your experience will be much easier and appreciated.

Looking forward to it.
