The Foldable Bicycle Thread

I am looking for a foldable bicycle (22-24T) for my daughter. One of my criteria is that the bike should fit in the folded-down back seat of our car (a Fortuner). Not so keen bikes which require tools to disassemble/assemble. My initial Google search didn't yield many suitable options. I am willing to spend a bit more for the convenience of portability. The only folding bike I found mentioned online was the BTWIN 120 Tilt, but it appears to be discontinued. I also checked the Firefox and BSA websites without success.

Brompton C line? I remember a store/website used to sell those bikes may be it was bumsonthesaddle but I don't see it now. Your best bet would be to source it from overseas. Or check the Cyclop group/FB Marketplace for used BTWIN 120 Tilt.

Re: The Foldable Bicycle Thread

I don’t know why their website is currently down but ProCycle from Bangalore had brought Brompton to India. It’s at the most expensive end of the curve but its hands down one of the best foldies you can get. I’ll try and get their sales person’s contact number for you if they’re still operating.
[Edit: try reaching them on +91.90199.19616]

Decathlon used to retail one as well (Tilt), best to visit their store and ask if and when it’ll be back in stock.

Finally I had heard of Tern and Dahon as well being sold in India. Perhaps Google around and search if anyone is selling those still in India.

Re: The Foldable Bicycle Thread

I have a brompton c-line (3 speed). It's amazingly fun to ride and I keep it in the boot of my Swift always. Bought it from the procycle guys. Decathlon Tilt is not built well and will squeak and rattle after a year. Brommie is expensive, but worth every rupee.

Tilt is discontinued, but some stores have existing old stock. Please visit a few physical stores (or call them) and you can get one on a discount (~12.5k).

Consider the emotorad doodle. I specifically got it so that i can roam around when I go to goa etc. Fits great in my Astor's trunk.

Re: The Foldable Bicycle Thread

Bromptons come expensive, so do try out the Polygon Urbano. I had checked out this in Pink color for my daughter @ BOTS Jayanagar. It was on sale @ 40k if my memory is right. Seemed pretty light and easy to fold too.

If brand isn't a concern, there are many on Amazon.in & IndiaMart. Product seems to be the same, its branded as BMW, Ferrari, Hummer and sorts. It folds at the frame and no assembly required.

Amazon.in

IndiaMart

Re: The Foldable Bicycle Thread

Hello.
I own the folding bike from Decathlon. B twin I think. I have owned it for nearly 5-6 years now. Serves me well. A bit heavier than most of the other imported brands. But fits in the creta as well as jimny. Reasobale price. 17.5 k INR.
