Whats wrong with this Sub setup

Hi Folks

Was watching this Youtube video on a demo of a sub.

If you see as long as the video is from outside the car the sub sounds fine and the beats sound good, but the moment the camera enters the car, the sub goes for a toss your hear the additional buurrrrr sound

So is this is a problem with the recording microphone, Sub setup or what ?

This is not an issue with the recording microphone or the sub setup. When the microphone was outside it was recording only the sound that comes, when the mic goes into the car, it also vibrates with the air that is pushed by the subwoofer.

That is the reason, I am not able to put in correct words, Guru's can...

So does that mean that if i was sitting in the car i would hear sound like that in the video. Thats bad isnt it ?

What setup are you hearing the audio of the video track on? Outside the car, the level of bass recorded would be much less that inside the car. The setup that you are hearing the recording through is being made to reproduce the higher level and not being able to handle it.

For example, a laptop built-in amp and speakers are not at all meant to handle that, and will distort heavily - giving out the brrr-brrr sound. On a desktop PC with a good pair of amplified speakers, the onset of distortion will be at a higher level, but distort it will for some passages where the bass peaks are very high.

Oh so you are saying the problem is with the audio setup i am listening on in my computer.. Ok but not sure since I have the Klipsch Promedia GMX 2.1. Are you also facing the same distortion when you see the video ?
