I guess they do have loud speakers for different occassions ... somewhere I have seen JBL speakers are being used in some Music Concerts. I dont know if those high end speakers are available in here.

I've heard both Sony and Pioneer have their own kind of problems. I heard people reporting about Pioneer HU as CDs are getting stuck inside. And in Sony, the songs in a CD gets skipped due to read error.

Having all these in my mind I finally went for Sony HU because
- Sony Service Centres are more readily available than Pioneer's.
- Somebody also told me that by paying around Rs2000/- you can the entire Lens System of your Sony HU replaced to solve the read error, in case you have severe problem of skipping disk .
- Also heard that Sony's 'S' variants of HUs have addressed this kind of problem.

Anybody knows how to clean the lense of the Car CD Players?
(As we use special lens cleaner CDs for our CD Players and PCs at home)

1. JBL Pro Audio speakers are available at Narain Electronic in Lamington Road.
2. I prefer to use a ear bud and some isopropyl alchohol. I dont trust the dry cleaners. if you do use a CD lens cleaner atleast use the wet type.

Actually 85% of all cinemas in the world use JBL and more than 35% of concerts across the world use JBL

No Navin, Narain sells Mackie, not JBL. And JBL Professional has vendors in Mumbai, Chennai and New Delhi. Sourav is from Bangalore.

How about startign a thread abt how to clean one's HU. Can I do it at home? DIY kindof. I guess most service centres would jsut swap eh lens kit with a new one instead of cleaning it

JBL has good products backed by fantastic marketing (sales and service).

Studios and Cinema halls rate reliability and serviceability higher than audiophile sound. Not that JBL makes bad products but lets face it they are not Audio Physics, Wilson Benesch etc...
