Pioneer will show case its new car audio head units with MIXTRAX technology at the Autoexpo 2012.

Some features of these head units:--

• The software creates a non stop mix of the music stored in your ipod/iphone/USB/SD device.
• Additional musical effects ( as done by a DJ ) are added to the music.
• The software creates different play lists as per various genres.
• The illumination of the buttons on the head units along with the display change their colours and generate different light effects to enhance the overall feel.

This is a nice feature, but i am not able to figure out, of what use is a DJ mixing application in a car.

It also mentions something about a STEEZ Device that can used to mix music of various geners and sort all music by mood and tempo.

For those who like pure music, this technology isn't music to ears, but for those who want beats and thrills ( like a club ) in their car, this may work. Today's world likes flashy things more and this technology seems to be more of bling.
