ICE-ing my SX4 ZXi VVT

THis might be late, but i always wanted to share my story about ICE-ing my silver beast. Thanks to not getting my membership approved by the super strict moderators of T-BHP
Nevertheless, i am member now and would like to share my ICE upgrade.

Before I start, I would like to emphasize that the existing HU is pretty good functionally with all basic needs integrated (including iphone/ipod support). If HU is not a big issue, just a speaker/Amp/Subwoofer upgrade can do wonders.

I had got my SX4 in may 2010 and within 1 week of owning it, I got an itch to upgrade my HU. So here goes the list I planned.

1. Front - Infinity Co-axials 6030c
2. JBL 4 channel Amp - below front left seat
3. Pioneer TS Sub Woofer
4. PAC USA steering interface
5. Pioneer DVD touchscreen AVH P4250
6. Dynamat on doors, local mats in boot/rear parcel tray (lot of steel here), behind rear seats (there is a black rubber material here which rattles like hell) so replace it with mat.
7. Scosche amp wiring.
8. Maruti genuine HU Face plate (from older sx4 vxi) to create 2-din slot

I powered the subwoofer using 2 channels from Amp and remaining 2 were used to poet front Co-axs

Some of the blunders i made
1. installed fosgate co-axial on the rear (was never needed) plus now i have tweeters on my rear doors
2. Had got the rear parcel tray cut to accommodate 6x9s but as the rear glass is too steep in sx4 the sound was creating a whirlpool and base was restricted.
PLEASE AVOID INSTALLING 6x9 in SX4, instead go for subwoofer.

HOLES in the pocket

1. Front - Infinity Co-axials 6030c - 6K
2. JBL 4 channel Amp - below front left seat - 5.5K
3. Pioneer TS Sub Woofer - 3.5K
4. PAC USA steering interface - 2200
5. Pioneer DVD touchscreen AVH P4250 - 25K
6. Dynamat on doors, local mats in boot/rear parcel tray (lot of steel here), behind rear seats (there is a black rubber material here which rattles like hell) so replace it with mat. - 5K
7. Scosche amp wiring. - 1200
8. Maruti genuine HU Face plate (from older sx4 vxi) to create 2-din slot - Rs 142

Here is the end result

Nice job. The final outcome is very clean. Have you enabled the steering mounted controls to the new HU? How is it done? Also, does the HU support reverse sensors and sat-nav?

Very good install and good choice of equipment. How would you rate the subwoofer and is it single coil.

@ Rajat: As far as I know the head unit does support reverse sensors, camera & sat-nav. Saw it when I was getting my blu-t's head unit replaced.

Sub woofer is just above average, single coil 2ohm coil.

Rajat, rear sensors not supported. (unless u buy pioneer genuine reverse sensors)
