It's time to change my HU in Punto from 7950[will be in classifieds in next week] to DEH 80PRS, HU already purchased in delhi & will reach me next 4-5 days, it will be DIY with standard proffessional job, all details of wiring will be presented here with photo's.

Hi,

Yes it is available, but not every where, I enquired here in Bengaluru, about 6-7 popular shops, they don't have any idea about this model, one person who is having shop in koramangala quoted the price of 50k my regular ICE shop owner was ready to source it for 22k, two days back i was in chennai enquired with TeamBHP chennai members recommended person, he is ready to source it for 26k with full payment & delivery after 3days.

Finally, i got it for 20.5k from ICE shop in delhi, which is recommended by TBHP delhi members.

Congrats- looks a real sweet package. Can you please highlight what are the main differences between this Head unit and the normal range of receivers (like the Pio 7950 that you had). As in, what additional features does the 80PRS have (apart from time alignment)?

Also, does it not support USB?

I connected all required power connections, made ON, first recommended reset done, auto time allignment done & played my favourite Hindi/ kannada track, really i am listening some new instrument sounds which are not listened in 7950UB.

Hi Subba,
Stumbled upon your thread while searching for DEH-80PRS. I am giving a second thought for going for 80PRS instead of 6450BT. Interestingly I got a 4490BT just a month back and felt the uypgrade. Could you please share the contacts of the seller where you bought this?
