Hey all,

I recently got a mail from snapdeal offering various deals on Audio Equipment.

They seem to have plenty of brands in offering although im not sure how many options they have within those brand names.

They also seem to be offering products with and option of EMI. And are providing free installation in 17 cities .

Are the prices on the higher side ?

Any idea how free installation is going to work? Do you visit the showroom with the product?

^ they have a tie up with Carnation, promoted by an ex-maruti suzuki MD. Once you receive the products, you need to fix up an appointment with them to get the installations done. Not sure about the quality of installation though.

IIRC Snapdeal is not a e-retailer like Flipkart or eBay. Snapdeal only channelizes deals offered by actual sellers, whether the b&m kind or the e kind. It stands to reason that both have to make money in the deals, so one cannot expect something cheaper.

One has to be truly lazy to rely on e-buying in India, other than for someone in a small town where there is not a single accessories seller within 100Km. Anyone having access to a shop should actually go to the shop physically and hear ICE products.

The physical channels are usually cheaper than the e-channels, even if one accounts for the transportation cost to the shop is a smaller location.

I just checked the prices there; all the prices after discount are around 500 rs more than what you can get in the market in Delhi. Some are more expensive on the website. And again if you buy from the market you get free installation and you just pay for the ancillaries that you use.

Prices are steep even after discounts.. in some cases whopping ~ 1.5K

Snapdeal doesn't sell anything. They only advertize deals offered by dealers on anything.

Did you get it installed from snap deal or did you get it done else where?
I think they offer some kind of a at your door installation at a very nominal extra cost.

never do that! get it installed from the best guy in your city. In my case i completed the install from @mclaren1885 aka Rahul and blueraven- EVO aka Satya. both are good at what they do

Hello All

Any JBL product bought online will not be entitled for warranty and one cannot claim it at at JBL service center . Also same is applied for rockford fosgate products as well , so please dont buy online as there will be no warranty on same .

JBL itself is selling online with warranty through their website.

Snapdeal, as already mentioned does not sell by itself. Whatever sold there is by authorized sellers with B&W. If the seller in snapdeal is an authorized JBL dealer, will JBL not honour the warranty
