PRS-3000SPL vs MRD-M1005

are both these amp can be graded the same at 2 ohms ?

Both of them are rated at 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms and 14.4 volts.

Power isn't the only parameter to 'grade' an amp, the Alpine has a better S/N ratio. However, if power is your only criteria, then the 2 amps sure are equal in that department.

If they are driving the same load under similar conditions, the draw shouldn't ideally be greatly different. Both use Class D technology, but their efficiencies might just vary a little bit. Nothing great I would assume.

Preimiers r not that great at all, If u are looking for pure performance and Tight Bass then JL Audio or Rockfod Fosgate is the Way to go, If you are looking at SPL compettions, then nothing like a Kicker Solo X subwoofer.

Well the Efficiency of two amps rated at the same power can be drastically different. for Example,
If you compare the actual power figures of a PRS-D3000SPL and a Rockford Fosgate T10001bd they will differ drastically.
though both amps are CEA Rated, but actual figures are very different, the Premier at best battery power will not Exceed 1100 RMS but the RF can produce upto 1450 RMS on an amp that is rated 1000 RMS.
I use an RF Type Rf X6 which I paid about Rs 65,000 for and it came with 3 years warranty, but the sound quality is unmatched.
But there is a catch, the Premier PRS-D3000SPL, even if its available is about Rs 25,000 to buy and the RF T10001bd is Rs 45,000, so, the more the merrier.

And once you start using RF you will not use anything else after that, the quality of sound at any Level is unparalleled. I dont know about outside but in Bangalore Pioneer / Sony etc are Value for money brands.

I hope this research is not about amplifier load/fuse ratings etc.

LBM is going to put some extra load and melt one more fuse holder i guess. .............just kidding LBM.

Do tell us when u prepare ur thesis abt ur research.

Some people in this forum think as perfect 100% correct. or i can say 120% perfect. They think other people on this foum are newbies to electronics and physics.
