I need to fix a good audio for my esteem 2004 model. Please suggest me a good HU and 2 speakers. I can spend around 15k.
It should have good Bass.
Will i get the HU with the thumbdrive interface?

I just love to listen to good music while driving.

Get a decent mp3 HU from pioneer like the 5850 or 4850.
Speakers,i'd suggest JBL all around.
Getting a sub+amp inside the budget would be tough.
But, for price sakes: Amp- Sony 502-Rs.3500
Subwoofer:Pioneer 305C -Rs.3500
Cabling and Installation : 2000 (includes MDF box/tray for sub)

Thanx nitrous. I first want to fix a good HU with sub+amp compatible for the future use. Hope the pioneer 5850 supports the sub+amp in future.

Tell me something. Is it a must that i have to go for the sub+amp now? will the HU not be with good bass and sound quality without that???

It is a personal choice. A pioneer HU with JBL speakers itself would give you pretty good bass. Listen to some cars to get an idea.

What do you feel about Blaupunkt HU and Speakers? I heard they are very good.

The options Nitrous has given you would pretty much do for a basic setup. For the bass to be evident you will need that amp(sony 502) at the very least.

If your interested in Blaupunkt i think Venu(kureti on this forum) is their official rep in bangalore, speak to him.

If you want an idea of what other forum members have done to their Esteems look at the following threads

Willy, like s0uljah said HUs do not have enough power to give out bass. Very sensitive speakers will give you some thump but not much. What I noticed before installing an amp in my car is that the bass tends to be boomy.

If you try to push the HU too hard the speakers will begin to clip and could fry your voice coils. Remember, to get good, clean, tight bass you need a lot of power.
