Ya u will have to get a Blau Ipod interface which allows u to hook up your ipod to BAHAMA ...Simultaneously your ipod battery will get recharged too...Approx price 5K (not sure)...

If the H.U has a regular auxilliary in port (single or two pin) yu can definitely use it to connect your iPod to it (done that for my car) all you need is an apropriate auxilliary cable that start at 30 rupees. This wont harm your ipod or H.U, but controls will be from the ipod itself and it wont get charged while your using it. Also its waaaaaaaaay cheaper!!!
kp yaar i know the ipod doc thing but have read some reviews over sites that it doesnt suits the playlist!!!
swale i am also thinking of goin by your way mine hu aux is two pin left and right!!!
Go for it dude..its the most practical option,
of course we'd all love to have the coolness of browsing the ipod interface on the H.U screen, but I think that only makes sense with a large screen (double din size) player.... On our regular Head units, it becomes quite fiddly, coz theres barely 2-3 lines of text at a time..I've tried it on a Pioneer H.U preffered using the Ipod itself, much more user friendly.
The only drawback is that your ipod wont get charged as you use it, but then the battery life is pretty good anyway!
I'm using a cheap 30 rupee aux wire that i found lying around the house, gonna buy a slightly bettter quality one soon though!
swale who says the ipod does not get charged. It gets charged and the interface of the ipod on the screen is very good. I dont know about other company`s interface but the pioneer interface is really cool. I have shot a vdo of it u can have a look how the interface works with the HU.

you are partly right. most HU's screen are too small to rear the playlist but you get about the same information as you would if you had a MP3 CD in your HU. MP3's ID3V1 tags have a lot of info (lets not even discuss ID3V2 tags) and it will take a while for HUs with appropriage screens to become commonly available.
Still I feel the ablity to skip tracks using the HU's controls and even scrolling a few playlists is worth having the dedicated ipod controllers. If you organise your playlists judicously you can have a reasonable degree of control over which Mp3 you intend to listen to.

I meant the iPod doesnt get chrged when your using just a regular aux in cable..
edit: just checked out your video, dude you have a realy nice H.U there!!!!!!! I had tested it on a regular monochrome/2 line display type H.U, found it too fiddly to spend the extra money on.... like i'd said in my earlier post(#7) it only makes sense if you have a H.U with a large screen..such as yours. just my personal opinion. (though if I had your H.U i wouldnt have thought twice about getting the adapter!!)

no it doesn't get hot, its like your using it with normal headphones. As for the battery it wil drain normally. (Maybe a little faster compared to earphones) Its just a simple line out...
dude dont sweat it so much, go buy yourself a
sasta auxiliary cable tomorrow and try it out.
You like it, stuck with it or buy a slghtly better quality one
If you dont, your out less than a 100 bucks....
