-   -   BEST SONG for showing off/demoing Car Stereo (https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/car-entertainment/14128-best-song-showing-off-demoing-car-stereo-50.html)

Its been years, Was browsing through some old songs and found a all time best, Cyclone - Feat T Pain yesterday again, First time in my jetta and man it still gives you a kick.

South of Heaven - Slayer
This song is loud, but parallelly it can help check the Low frequency of your system.

Here is my pick

It is not just about being loud or boomy. But pure clarity to be heard in silence.

Somewhere, Somebody - Jennifer Warners & Max Carl
Far From Any Road - The Handsome Family
Mona Lisa - Julio Iglesias
The Animal Song - Savage Garden
Kokomo - Beach Boys

Note: A lot depends on the clarity of these tracks. If you pull off some downloaded pirated copies they may sound crap :D

My nominations for when you want to show off how "musical" / balanced an audio system sounds:

- Walking in Memphis by Marc Cohn
- Another Day in Paradise by Phil Collins (remastered version)
- La Isla Bonita by Madonna (from 'The Immaculate Collection) > the sound engineering on this one is phenomenal. Makes one compare it to some of Bruce Swedien's work.

Mind you, the above are from a pre-'loudness wars' era, so you would need to turn up the volume a bit!

For showing off bass (there are *so many* of this type nowadays):
- Bum Bum Tam Tam by MC Fioti

Exclusing rock / metal etc. as they tend to sound more muddy.

This is an old one but the thumps are hypnotizing. Byork, army of me. Currently playing on new headphones.

Very surprised nobody has mentioned anything from Chesky Records! They have brilliant songs. My favorite one is Novocaine by Amber Rubarth:

A number of Coke Studio Pakistan songs sound very good in a car - especially ''Rung" and "Kangna" by Abu Muhammed and Fareed Ayaz

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BOPPS0GhW0 - its the vocals and some instruments.

Also "Lost but Won" from the movie Rush (based on rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda) - this is more western instrumental

Couple of tracks to test fine Audio Equipment's.

These are not competition SPL level tracks but the ones to demo and understand the nuances, feel the warmth, depth, stereo separation, sound staging etc.
Ideally noticeable on premium home /car audio and taking you closer to the Music.
