Arre bhai-logo, MDF is also made of wood only, no? Theek hai, unnis-bees ka farak hai - a bit of processing of jungle wood, and some thoka-peeti of the stuff after that.

Kukudukoo has not said anything technically incorrect - they must have left out the intermediate wood processing steps to make it easily understandable to people: "Made by Wood" (like 'Made by USA')!

"Made by Wood" (like 'Made by USA')!
Mdf is just wood pieces with formaldehyde or phenol resin in it..

Made is USA

Yeah, yeah, woheech! Only a bit of chewing and regurgitation as the processing steps between "wood pieces" and the "with formadehyde ..." parts.

...for your jonga.

Guys, I was referring to only 4 models with names starting with DSW, please don't generalize with tubes and band-pass or anything else. More specifics about models:
DSW 250B (10") - Rs. 12K
DSW 300B (12") - Rs. 13K
DSW 250B Dual (2x10") - Rs. 17K
DSW 300B Dual (2x12") - Rs. 19K

Only these models claim wood and class-D amp (1st one 150W RMS & others 200W RMS), no other models which are much cheaper.
No stupid claims of 1000+W PMPO/RMS etc. Among other, these amps have high-end features like continuous 0-180deg phase shift, LPF cutoff can be set as low as 25Hz. Cones are poly-mica, not plain PP.

It may be hard to believe, but if you people are really interested, just listen to any of the above models once. They are superb for price, if you ask me.

BTW, they also have a monstrous sub which I doubt will fit in boot of any car. Not bothered about it anyway

Sam, that is exactly why I had objected last time when you made an indirect reference to a short form! nothing more than that
While most of your friends won't mind, a few may. The forum is public after all and countless new people will refer to it.

Actually santosh, it was a simple misunderstanding.

And like mature members we have already settled and understood each other in PM and burst into each others arms, crying and hugging, without disturbing the thread.

I tend to agree with B&T on this one.
Commercially sold tubes, at this price will not be made of wood. They can claim anything they like. I have trouble believing that one.

Sam, why tubes again? Models I am referring to are usual trapezoidal boxes (ported ones).

I am getting old and senile. Forgive me.

OK So these sumokoo boxes are probably made of MDF. are we on the same page here?
Or you're telling me that the sumokoo guys claim their boxes are made from planks of wood cut from a tree?

Yes! As B&T pointed out, making tubes with real wood would be far.... far difficult, I agree. But boxes should not be that difficult. Regarding price, everything is possible if sourced through china instead of USA/Europe, he he!

@Santosh: Where can one get to hear them in Bangalore? I couldn't find ANY reference to Soomoku specs etc. anywhere, let alone a catalog. The palesha.com web site is now defunct.
