HI guys
i've just got a new DICOR and i need some advice for ICE.
my budget is around 30 K and i've already got 2 old pio 10'' subs.
pls pls advice me on whether to go for 4 sub (2 12'' 2 10'' ) or just stick to 2 12'' setup and pls choose HU from Pio, Sony and JVC.
Thanks very much

ok then go for pioneer hu 6850 (10k) one 4 channel pioneer amp (6-7k) get 2 pair componet jbl 607 (6-7k) and a mono amp or a another 4 channel for the sub.
U said u have 2 10 inches subs which model it is , please tell the model no also....
First install the 10 inches if ur saitisfied then keep them or change to 12 inchs later. no need 4 subs man it will be waste of effort....
come on LBM........dont u think paaji will be better word?
Dont u think 4 subw will be too much....? overdose of low_bass for urself.
I hope u r not thinking of having 4 subw at back and 6 pio tweeters at front!!!!!!!!!!!Even if u r planning to have 4 subw,u r seriously short of budget.
For budget of 30k......
Pioneer HU with 3-preouts 9000
Components & coaxial 9000 [Blau,JBL,alpine,Hertz]
speakers for doors
4-ch Pioneer 6100 amplifier 7000
for door spk
4-ch Sony 504 for 2 subw 5000[though not sure it can handle 2subw]
subw in bridged mode
Borrow some more money for good cables,RCA wires+box+distribution block+install
rsj please dont scare him on his first posts. let him install 2 10inchs after that we will what to do....
Sorry for going a bit off topic here, but Overdose, let us know how your experience with the car has been thus far .........
Yup... Stick to your two 10's//... they should prove more than adequate...
More importantly.. What kind of sound do you like and what kind of music do you listen to??
That 10inchers will give you nice tight bass! No need to change it unless you are very unhappy with it. Getting a nice monoblock will be good but it will overshoot your budget. So stick with two 4 channel amps. Get a set of 6" component speakers for the front and a pair of co-axial speakers for the rear.
You can use 1 amp to power both the subs and the other to power the speakers.
Make sure you get nice cables to go with the setup and find a nice installer to do the setup.
And Enjoy the sound man!

30K and you got the subwoofers. hmm..
You can get a nice HU with 3 preouts for 9K (Blaupunkt, Sony ot Pioneer), then you will need 5-6 ch. of power for the speakers. Like Dr. RSJ said the 6100 and 504 amps are about the cheapest amps you can use to do this. Bridge the 504 and it would drive the 10" woofers. That leaves 9K for speakers and interconnects.
I am not sure what fits in a Dicor. Basic Component speakers (4-6") run about 4-6K per pair and you can get a pair of Coax for the rear for about 2.5-4K per pair (4-6"). You will need some money for the interconnects and install. Since you have 2 amps and will need 3 pairs of interconects I would buget about 5K for the interconnects and the install.
I know this is pushing your budget a bit higher than you requested but that is a speciality of the ICE Forum! ;-)
hey i dont know much but here is what i would have done , 5 k cables , 8k 2 sony 554 4 channels amps (grey) + 6 k component + 9 K for the HU. + rear speaker 3 - 4. o think it will push it up about 1k or 2 k .
Navin ji dicor takes 6.5 inch componet easliy in front door without any modification......and If I am not wrong the rear door can also take 6.5 without any mods....
hey all you guys
THANKS A LOT for your precious advice.
i really liked that so many BHPians are here to help.
OK i can push my budget to 40K.
Here in Ludhiana Pio availablity is an issue (as 100% stuff is grey and this scares hell out of me. Have you seen Pio VCD Player. if no i have.) but sony and jvc (most commonly available HU after Pio) situation is a lot better.
i am not that much satisfied with 10''ers cause they are not that powerful(piots-w255c). so i'll go with 2 12'' setup(pio sony or jbl pls tell me ).
here is the componets i am getting with their price
HU JVC-KDLHX555 (10k)touch screen , PIO DEH-P8650 16K DEH-P4850 5.6K AND SONY CDX-GT700D 9K and all rest are out of my reach.
Amp some alpine 705 model 3k ( fake i am sure bout that) rest on order.
speakers all will be jbl and they have to bought from chandigarh.
and subs sony 12'' xplode for 3k and pio 306 dvc for 3.3k
all items from grey market here if you ask for bill they will concider you a fool.
and i listen to Hip-hop, punjabi pop and punjabi remix and Nusrat Fathe ali khan ( i love his songs) and i am bass freak and i can install whole sys myself ( using my elecotrincs engg skills) no problem with that .
and :OT i am very happy with DICOR. i have changed my driving style a lot after i sold my cielo ( with free flow intake and muffler). ya i find dicor slow but it not that bad as people say. i find DICOR good for city too no problem in that. I AM LOVING EVERY MOMENT IN MY NEW DICOR
overdose; you get chauffeured in it too? If so how abt a DVD HU? JVC DVD HU canbe bought under 10k
oh . pls dont get the sony subs.

LBM, the door panels in my Dicor could only take 5 1/4" speakers, both front and back. They were going to cut the panels to fit in 6.5 and showed me a sample which looked horrible. I stayed with the 5.25", components for front and co-ax for rear.
Thats is, if Tata havent changed Dicor door panels since Oct2005...
