what speaker wire to get?

and what brands are available here in apna India? Does it make sense to get speaker wire from abroad? Anybody know a good car audio enthusiast in Hyderabad who I can talk to?

Good quality wiring is available in apna India too. If you want very exotic brands, then buying from outside is better due to the price difference.
I've heard about SPROCKET being a nice place for audio, but please dont stumble on xplods which they have for dime A dozen!

I think Sprocket sells only JBL, Sony and Panasonic stuff. Do those guys have branded wiring?

Connection Audison is a great brand when it comes to wiring. They're worth paying for.
