Hi guys,
I have a friend who wants to instal a DVD HU + a screen for the kids + some speakers in the rear . He is on tight budget.. The car is a Tata Indigo. Any tips would be great.
he might want to install a playstation instead of the dvd player. i tihnk that will be a lot more fun
HMMM....thats a first for me...interesting.... never heard of or seen one installed in a car... but my friend would a like to hear some music occasionally....... BUT Can you install a PS2 in a car?? ..
Get a JVC DVD HU @ 10k. I haev posted details of the same somewher here at ICE section.
The cheapest Pio DVD HU costs 16k and Sony one at 12k.
sk456; PS2? yes you can. Zak should have fixed one by now. And teh topend Safari has one right?
well i was searching the threads.......for soem DVD threads..but all were based on "T-BHP budget" installs. :) .. my friend is really on a budget guys...has wife and kids..so expensive ICE is out of the window...
btw what screen can oen get and for how much??

frankly a screen in front is suicide and should be made illegal .....
Thanx esteem...but I think a PSP or a PS2 is too wild an idea..... with headphones is ok i guess...but an instaLlation in the frotn is really dangerous....
and it is way too expensive for someone on a budget. i use the sony mex-r1 which is pretty good & 7" Necvox screen (7K). :)

Which screen would this be for 5K ? I guess one screen would be enough placed in the center at teh back...

@JKD how good is this HU I mean is some one you know using it ? also is this price with bill ?
q: dioes the car have a stereo. any stereo?
if it does one can get a 10DVD changer for 10K and a screen for 4-5K. However if he has 2 kids I'd recommend either having 2 screen (one on each headrest) or a 7" flip down screen. I prefer the 2 screen solution as it does not restrict rear view. the changer connects to the existing stereo via a FM modulator.
teh car has been bought only yesterday.... no stereo as yet at all...
