Hi drift kid. I don't think you need a coppasitor with your current combination. Why don't you tell us what else you have in the car, apart from the Woofer and the amplifier. Then we can put together the right budjet and tell you what speekers to get, for shore. Hope that shed some light on your question.

Boom!

hey low bass maker i already introduced my self as busted.

i just have the stock speakers of sonata and the company fitted cd player with 6 CD changer.

i need to setup a a system which would give me little base because i am not a high base listner any more.

what i have is the dvc double coil pioneer sub. and a glyder amp (which i know is not good) but i guess it would be enough to handel up 1 sub.

and one more confusion i am having is that should there be a hole in the sub's box or not.?

man you serious need some class or goto ice school....

it not base it is bass
it not hole it is port (dont make one if u dont know about it , the sub will sound bad if a hole is mad in the box)

do mind what I said above...If u really are interested drop by the meet you will get the best advice there......

come on dear LBM,when i joined tbhp i dint know what component speaker is and now i can even talk about SQ.

And then in the last sentence u r telling him to mind it!!!!!

Dear busted,it all depends on ur personel taste of music whether u want a hole in the box or not. When i installed my system,i somehow felt that i dont need a hole in the sub box and i went for sealed one.
But at some point of ur life u would like a hole, preferably smaller one as sealed one will be of no use!!!!

Doc, it's obvious you don't know who Drift Kid is! His previous incarnation on TBHP was known as Busted & well let me put it this way he had an interesting system

I did the hard work for you & found his old thread. Once you read through it you'll surely understand the reason for him saying that he's not a high-bass listener anymore

LBM, I am sorry to say this but your comments above we totally uncalled for. Members have been banned for less.

Everyone here is welcome. Skill/Knowledge level is no bar.

Driftkid/Busted,

If I had 10K to spend I'd get a nicer amp and maybe upgrade the power cables. I dont know the model numbe on the Pio sub but maybe it can perfrom better in a small sealed/aperiodic box

and brother LBM,ur signature tells us to BOOM Responsibly...lol

@Busted- Go ahead and post us the all the components in ur present ICE system. We will be better placed to advise u something.
You seem to have stock door speakers, glider amp and a pio dvc sub.For 10 k i would advice u to go for pio6100 amplifier and JBL/Hertz/alpine 6.5" coaxial spk at front which u can put at rear door later and replace with components.

Or buy both components and coaxial for abt 10k from above brands and power these from HU's internal amplifier. To keep the bass low,set the gains on glider amp on lower side [<50%] and also keep the bass level low.
