Low Mid Range with Pioneer HU

Hi,

I have a Ford Ikon with a Pioneer 3850 head unit, Blaupunkt 693 speakers at the rear and 4" Blaupunkt speakers in the front doors.

I am getting good bass and treble with this setup but somehow find the mid range to be a little weak.

What can be done to get this sorted out?

Regards,
Maverick

Well, basically all you can do is make sure that the loudness is off, bass is zero or almost zero and the same with the treble.

That should improve your midrage a bit. Eventually I suggest you get component speakers for the front.

I, in my own naive way, did something similar.

Flat settings (0db) for the 3 band equaliser, front/rear speaker Fader set with a front speaker bias - it has a range of Rear15-0-15Front .. I keep it at around 6 towards the front. Loudness off. Subwoofer volume set to 70%. Overall volume at around 24 out of a max of 35, when I'm in the mood to shut out the world.

I have felt this gives more midrange clarity in my setup - which is pretty basic. Kenwood OEM HU & speakers + Soomoku active sub.
