I would recommend Pioneer 3850/4850 which would cost you approx 5k (grey) and around 7.5k (with B/W).

There is also a new pioneer HU 2xxxMP model which is a entry level HU with a AUX-in in the front , if you want to connect your i-pod etc.

Sankeerth, Kenwood has a good player, the KDC-MP333 (plays MP3 & WMA) for 5.2K.

A friend just installed one in his brand new Fusion. It sounds pretty good, and it has easy to use controls. It also comes with a remote (not steering remote).

Pretty basic player though, and it has only 1 pre-out. But I'd say it is really good VFM.

pioneer or sony. i'm ruling out kenwood and blaupunkt cause they look downright ugly! (yea my personal opinion...but you asked ) both have good and friendly features. i personally like the pioneers cause they do not have problems reading almost any cd you pop into them.

In car Hu.

hey,
i would say definitely pioneer would be the best option as pioneer has caome up with new HU's lately thus the older HU's prices have fallen and thus u could get one cheap...like the 5850, I would suggest its is a good option as has mp3, plays cd's ,If you are looking for a player with a aux input try sony lower end models as the pioneer has aux in front only on the ones around 8-9K.
If you want to know the rates in mumbai then pm me and i'll give you my friends number and he will tell you the exact rates currently in the market.
make the right choice as HU plays a very important role in out-put for your music...if you have good speakers and woofer but not the right HU, you will regret it later.

Cheers.
