hi,

great install gunbir,Jb,mukul. im sure it sounds nice. mabe i missed it but does the hu have pre outs? or the speaker level has been used. does the speaker level out deteriorate the sq? btw i like the hu, what in your opinion would be a nice hu that goes with the interior? how much does the setup cost? where were the terminals used? i also have that kind of terminals. they are made of copper with some silver coating(dont know). is it okay to use it? its made by a company named ascon.

sorry for asking so many queations.

cheers

Navinji,

i agree with what you are saying(driver getting scared) but still its such an expensive car with an expensive rear entertainment, it definitely deserves rear audio controls. imagine the car is parked with you in the back seat and you've sent your chauffeur to get something, what would you do to increase the volume? jump in the front seat?

cheers

Thanks clip,

The Head Unit does not have preout. We are taking L/R speaker level outputs which are connected to Audison LRx 2.4 which converts in low level using ECI module and it gives preout to the sub amp. The amplifier turns on by sensing signal in high level inputs and gives remote out for sub amp.

The SQ of headunit is nice but i have found Honda CRV/Civic unit to be the best till date. The sound is nice but you have to set the gains carefully and need to keep the HU volume control in check as the HU amplifier starts clipping on very high volume level. Apart from that there are no issues.

I guess you are asking about ring terminals, Connection Audison FRT 4, two of them were used to terminate power and ground cable. They are crimp type and are available for 2/4/8/10 AWG cables.

If I had to change the headunit I would have gone for the Head Unit with amber Illumination like Denon / Panasonic / Becker etc to match the dash lighting.

Oye Clip, you didn't consider that a person who can buy the S class and afford a chauffeur can also hire a guy to sit in the front passenger seat for controlling the stereo.... ultimate voice controlled ICE...

That is why my Alpine HU remote is in the rear seat pocket. Not that I use it. My son does (along with HIS DVD changer) when I am driving. He knows better not to turn it up and I (unlike my poor chauffer do not drive in the worst of traffic and am more aware of car audio and the distractions it can cause).

I did think about giving my son headphones but then I'd have little control over what the volumes he is listening to are.

hey thats near my apartment in palam vihar(asnal's celebrity suites) when i come to delhi next ill definitely pay a visit.

gunbir paaji if both of them are sent to pick up some heavy stuff then what? i would burn it down to ashes. lol. i dont understand why they had to do a silly thing like this. im sure there is some other reason behind this or they have probably forgotten to add this to the ICE. lol

gunbir paaji please send me the stuff i had told you to send me. please. i asked for a fuse holder with fuse and the invoice through courier. my amp is running without the fuse and if anything gets damaged due to the absence of fuse, i swear im gonna take all the connection audison, IDs, Hertz, Audisons etc which you have and put it in my cars and make them the unofficial elettromedia demo cars

cheers

Clip, the dealer you visited, Driven, has closed shop. I will remind him to courier you your invoice. As for the Fuseholder, PM me your address and I will send you one.

Cheers!
