For 7K you can get a good HU from Pioneer or Blaupunkt. For 6K you can get a good pair of coax speakers from JBL, Hertz or Blaupunkt.

Rock, Coax means Co-axial; a woofer with integrated tweeter with a simple "in-line" capacitor (well generally!) while comps refer to component speakers; having seperate woofer and tweeter and a crossover (again generally!). Comps give you a better sound while coax is economical.

Our guru LBM will assist you with this shortly....

I have also not heard the brand phoenix so I would suggest go to the installer and tell him to give me any other brand which is more popular and people have heard there name like JBL, alpine, pioneer and the above company price range is similar to what you have bought.

20K...
if you want SPL you can spend
4.5K for a basic HU from Pio or Blau (2950 or Mumbai)
6K for 4 coax speakers from JBL or Blau
3K for a Sony 552 amp
4.5K for a Pio 307C in a sealed box
1K for wiring
1K for install

if you want a bit better SQ and not so much bass
7K for better HU from Pio or Blau
6K for components in the front
5K for 6x9 in the rear
1K for MDF rear deck
1K for install

Panky this is a local brand quite popular in Bombay side. There is one chicago amp also equivalent to pioneer 944 good for driving subs in a budget install situation.

Amplifier?

Hi, Can I spend additional money in upgrading my HU / good wires instead of spending on amplifier? For example, if I go for Pio P80RS, do I need amplifier? Please forgive my ignorance.
