Just one side note, please go for Hertz components instead of Co-axial. Over the years, the co-axials don't sound good, at least on my car. |
Thanks, I am sorry brother I paid the dealer for both Hertz components and coaxial just a day before your post. Not sure how it will turn out to be. My concern is it should not be too bright for my taste.

7. I need a HU which supports HDD of 2TB and can play 1080p video in the screen. If the screen resolution is lower it does not matter I just don't want to convert my Full HD video song collection (.mkv mainly) to MP3 or something else. Want a subwoofer. I just want blazing BASS clarity is not highly important. Pioneer AVH-Z5090BT says it has hdd support with full HD playback but in description it is saying "not compatible with full HD playback".

1. I am not very conversant with online shopping but since I like to listen to what I am buying I prefer brick and mortar. Also the added commission the installer gets from selling you the head unit, speaker and amps means he can often do the install for free.
2. Which speakers depends on which car you have. Many cars offer space to install component speakers.
Hi folks.
I recently purchased a new VW vento Highline Plus model. The stock speakers are nice enough in low volumes. I am thinking of improving the bass by adding a sub woofer and an amplifier. I listen to bass heavy tracks and genres such as EDM, Metal. I am not looking for the boom boom effect a woofer reproduces but a more balanced sound.
Would appreciate any and all suggestions for this upgrade.
Good evening fellas.
Can anyone guide me where I can find heat shrink tubes or butt connectors for an upcoming DIY project? What kind of shop sell these items, because I haven't found any car accessories shop which sells these.
Or from where can I source a 16 pin to two 8 pin wiring harness for a new stereo?
I will be replacing my old HU which has a single 16 pin port. But the new HU has two 8 pin ports
( separate ports for power and speakers). How to go about this?
Please help.
Thanks in Advance.
Hi,
I have a Ford Fiesta EXI TDCI 2010 model, which comes with stock HU and speakers. I am interested in having a rear view camera, so was checking for some head unit, which can fit my car.
My requirements are
1. Integrated to Rear camera, plus the exiting rear sensors.
2. Have CarPlay and Android Auto.
Regards
Shailesh
The Aux port of the stock head unit of my WagonR is ‘loose’. The HU doesn’t have USB support or Bluetooth. I am planning to change the stock double din HU with something which has USB and Bluetooth. I can also replace the stock 6” speakers with something better. My requirements are clear sound with decent bass and reliability for 3-4 years.
This will be a functional upgrade and hence don’t want to spend more than 10k for the above items, lesser the better. Is it possible? What model should I opt for the HU and speakers?
I am a total noob in this field and don’t want to fooled by the accessories shop. Any leads would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Ashis
go to a local electronics repair centre, and ask them to replace the 3.5mm aux jack on your HU.
Add a bluetooth -> aux adapter for your stereo.
blow the rest on speakers. enjoy :D
What are the models of amplifiers in India that support 4 channels + subwoofer ?
( F / R / Sub )

Thanks! That sounds like the best idea. Need more inputs on the Bluetooth adapter. I see the ones available on Amazon are battery powered which need to be charged every 7-8 hrs. Are there better options? Like I said earlier, I am a total noob but I enjoy sound.
For speakers, any suggestions?

Condor. Last time I saw a 5-6 channel amp it was the Kappa 5, a JL 600/6 and a JBL 755.6 - I chose the JBL only because a crazy man in orange pants was associated with the brand. It is still in my mom's car.
I don't know if either of these amps are still sold. Anyway at least theoretically I like to keep my bass amp separate from the main amp. The reason being (and this has never been practically tested) is that when a bass transient comes along a 5 channel amp's power supply has to feed the bass as well as the main channels and CAN be found wanting.
By keeping the monoblock separate the power supplies of the bass amp is separate and the main amp's transistors will not be starved of power. As I said before this is only in theory. You'd may have to play "LBM loud" to notice this.
