You can easily mount a 75.4 and a monoblock. Like b&t said, as long as the car is running, you should be safe. My word of caution is that the 601.1 is a mother, so you should have a rockstar subwoofer.
Thank you sam for the clarification about the GTO 301.1. ONe more question here would be how does the CS 300.1 compare with the GTO 301.1???? I compared the output of the 2 and they seem to be almost the same. Your thoughts sir???

Ok, soo according to you i would need a better sub if i plan to use the 601.1. Soo which JBL Sub setup would you recomend if i am to buy the 601.1???

Lastly, regarding wiring, the 4 guage power wire will be distributed to two 8 guage wires from the distribution block to the 75.4 and the 301.1 respectively. Will it suffice for these amps???

And lastly, Thank you soo much guys for the interest and help offered.

Cheers

The GTO301.1 is a better sounding amplifier. Worth the extra money.

I can suggest a JBL GTi W12. An excellent woofer. Costs about 30K.

Yes. For the 75.4+301.1 it is perfect.

But if you put the 601.1, it might be better to buy a 4 gauge kit for the 601 and an 8 gauge power kit for the 75.4 and wire them independently.

Most welcome.

Now i am planning to amplify my existing 4 speakers in my car, soo wrt the above setup i have shortlisted 2 amplifiers i.e JBL GTO 75.4 (My Favourite among the 2) and the JBL CS 60.4.
Now guys there is a slight change in the above quoted plan. Instead of the JBL GTO 75.4 i plan to go in for the new Infinity Reference 475A amplifier since it costs just 2k over the 75.4.

Now what i would like to know is that is the Infinity Amp a better bet than the 75.4. I will be changing my front and rear speakers to Infinity maybe by the begining of next year.

Soo gurus Sam, B&T, Navin, Gunbir, JB and everyone else please tell me is it a worthy investment to buy the Infinity over the JBL and how do the 2 compare in terms of sound quality, performance and power consumption???

And are they 2 different amps specification wise as well or do they share the same internals with jus a different body shell, i ask this coz i find them extremely similar in terms of power output on paper

Cheers

Not heard the Infinity amp. Sam could perhaps provide inputs here. Otherwise, for your current set of speakers, the 75.4 should more than adequately do the job.

I heard infinity 6 X 9 and amp combo once, it was too "classy" (read SQ oriented) for me.

I think that would my type of music. Well my tastes are varied but i prefer music which is soothing to the ears. At the same time i also like new age, digital form of music. Damn, my tastes are neither here nor there .

But still wrt to the 2 amps in question now, i would like to get a more in depth differentiation between the JBL GTO 75.4 and Infinity Reference 475A.

B & T, i guess you are right, Sam is the right person to inquire about Harman Kardon equipment, and by the way i am missing the presence of Navinji and LBM in my thread for some reason

The difference between the 475 and 75.4 is only 2-3K i'd pay that difference.

go in for proper damping of the boot....and check for other sources of vibration like loose screws/number plate etc.
