It will be available in November 2007..
Remember, you saw it first on Team-BHP.

While I cannot divulge prices, as it would be too early, these products will be very very well priced indeed.

Sieht sehr gut aus. Aber, Rauchsabstand nur 5dBA fuer das mono??? Klingt etwas falsch.

What happens to CS300.1 and 600.1? The GT5 mono is hardly comparable to the CS300.1!

The old man took a guess some time back. I like the aesthetics. Just like taking those silver "covers" of the GTO series. Someone in Harman thinks like me.

The GT5 mono is completely comparable to the CS300.1

What I think you are referring to are the 301.1 and the 601.1 and 1201.1 - these are GTO series amplifiers and quite current.

: JBL website (JBL Car & Marine Audio) says this of the CS300.1: Power Output 300 watts RMS x 1 channel at 2 ohms and ≤ 1% THD+N. Whereas, this one says Power Output 225 watts RMS x 1 channel at 2 ohms and ≤ 1% THD+N

The GT5 amps look real good! Better than the GTO series, IMHO.

Oh really? Wow. Looks are subjective but that is interesting feedback - thanks.

The GT5 amplifier looks super-awesome! Makes my CS amplifiers look pale and old. However, I like the CS amps for the blue-LEDs, which are taken off here.

Yes, the blue LEDs are gone. Instead the centre JBL logo glows orange when switched on.

In another very recent and interesting development - The GT4-12 will indeed be continued as a seperate driver.

Only it will now be sold as the CS1204. This is the woofer present in both the CS1204T bass tube and the CS1204B sealed box. This is indeed the GT4-12, but the product is now officially CS1204.
The woofer will officially hit Indian shelves very shortly (in 7 to 8 days!), in large quantities and will be priced at an incredible Rs.3990/- Please be careful not to pay more than that.

Sorry for the delayed news and the confusion and all the musical chairs, it was an internal decision. Once again, you heard it first on Team-BHP.

A photo - notice that the woofer now carries the CS series branding. A typical CS move, relying on previous technologies to provide greater value.

It should be interesting now to see reactions.

The TSFKA*-GT4-12 at 4K? Bye bye Pio 307-F! And all other entry-level subs! (I think with time this price will fall, with dealers giving more discounts, and popularity egging you to cut prices even further).

You've just coined a new definition for VFM.

Is this gonna happen to the rest of the GTO 7 series? I definitely hope so!

Good to see you're taking the grey-market by the b@ll$

*(TSFKA = The Sub Formerly Known As)

Let me put in my vote for the GT5 amplifier as well. It looks seriously sexy. I suspect when you mean the JBL logo lights up, it is similar to the GTO 4060.

I am pretty sure it will look good especially now that the background is black unlike the semi transparent one of the 4060.

After seeing this thread, I can see so many people interested in the new product. Looks like the Market place is going to get flooded by " Amps for Sale".
Will have to keep an eye on market place in Nov-dec.
Cheers
