New System help......

Hey Gurus,

I need help deciding on a new system for my honda city 2004 gxi......I don hav a big budget so here's what i've decided........

1. Pioneer 7950 HU
2. Mtx Speakers front n rear
3. Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 2 Single Woofer Enclosure or JBL Bass Tube

I don't know if i need an amp to go with the Fosgate woofer as sumone told me its built in......i am confused should I put in a basstube or the enclosure.....please advise......also if u guys have sumtin better plz do mention.......Thnks..

Hi Funky.

You will need an amplifier for any kind of woofer.

You just opened another thread on whether you need to go for a bass tube or box and Mugen gave you a link to read.

Hi Funky,

I suggest you go for an enclosure... bass tube will give you more of a "dhoom-dhoom"... and you might get irritated also after some time....

The built in amplifiers might not have so much of a power to drive a sub-woofer for a quality output... they are mainly meant for the speakers...
So you have to go for an amplifier if u want to go for a woofer......
