Delphi Grundig...

Hi Folks

A little birdie told me Delphi Grundig is launching their ICE products in India soon. Here's a link to their site...

DELPHI GRUNDIG - Delphi Deutschland GmbH

Cheers!

A host of new products are to be distributed in India by Xenos Technologies Ltd, a leading automotive accessories distributor, which is Delphi's sales and service partner, a report said. Xenos sells vehicle security systems and automobile accessories through its network of 900 retailers throughout India, the report added.

Dont have idea about Delphi ICE.. But recently they were recruiting hugly for Embedded software and hardware for Infotainment tech. But Grundig is one amoung the top engineered master peices as far as I know. They put u lot of Engineering into their products... So the price wud be high for sure...

Price could be on the higher side. Grundig and Philips (products made in Germany originally, not the Chinese outsourced ones) are known for their longevity (extremely quality engineered).

I have 2 Grundig products - one a mono speaker cassette player and a stereo amplifier. My dad used to run this pair (interconnected via something similar to the M-Bus of Alpine today) everyday since he bought it from Holland in 1979!!!

The pair work fine even today, after 28 years, playing all new and old cassettes alike with not a single visit to the service centre surprisingly even for the cassette drive belt!!!!

AFAIK Delphi makes Grundig car radios, Eton manufacturers the other stuff, and the Alba/Beko guys retain control of "Grundig" since Grundig AG went backrupt.

So whats coming to India? Car radios made by Delphi and stickered as Grundig?

With Delphi in dire financial straits, it looks like a sinking ship.

Eton makes speakers as in woofers, midranges and tweeters. It is their kevlar "hexacone" woofers (7 and 10" esp) that made them famous.
