Hi Jerish, let me answer this for him. The combination is just great. It sounds lively and perfect, bass is tight and upfront.

I was quiet surprised myself that the basic Hertz components could do so well with a Pioneer HU.

Cheers

Generally, Alpine + Hertz = More robust midbass, smoother highs. And Pioneer + Hertz = Deeper lows, mellow mids, more sparkle in highs. But of course car, install and tuning can give you entirely different results. Not to forget your source material recording etc.

Hi Shariq,

Excellent-looking install. One question. What is the blue damping material you have used. How much ? And how much did it cost?

EDIT: Common foam sheet - yes, what did you stick it with? How many sheets? Did you damp the boot door as well? How much did it cost you?

Shariq, nice install and equipment. I agree with Gunbir, you could consider a sub upgrade.

I have a question - Now that you have the Alpine amp under a plastic protector, how do you deal with ventilation? Since you're powering your components and sub with it, won't it get over-heated in a closed location?

Nice equipments and great price you got them for. You got an MRP-450 for 10k? Hertz and Pioneer -- might as well be, to tone down those hissy highs of Pioneer.

Strange. But why mix Rubber Solution with Araldite? Are you sure they were mixed? They will interfere with each other and give you a lousy bond, i.e. the RS part wouldn't have done it's job (the solvent has to be allowed to evaporate before sticking) and Araldite would be prevented from uniformly sticking by the RS. They work differently.

Gunbir had already answered the question

But having used both Pioneer and Alpine HU's with the same configuration on the same car, I will go with Alpine anyday. The setup is a tad bit "brighter" for my taste but the mids are very strong and I liked the tonal quality that was lacking on the pioneer.

Does not show much on shariq's car as he uses 2-way components for the front and probably the way it was tuned.
