Stumped by a Sub

The Car: Santro.
The Config:

The Speakers: Front - Kicker DS650.2 6.5" Components.
Rear - Helix Blue MK II 6.5" Components.
The Amplifiers:

Speakers: JBL 75.4 Yayyyyyy.....

Sub Clarion APA 450.

The Subwoofer: Oxygen Audio 12" Sub in a readymade sealed enclosure.

The Plan:

Change Clarion Amp to JBL 3501 Mono amp

and Get a JBL GTO 12" Sealed sub.

The sound expected: SQ based system, expecting clear tight, fast bass.

The dilemma

Am already finalized on my amp, just need to know if the JBL sub is the best option for the price or is there something better matching my requirements.

Pricing should not go beyond 1k at the absolute max on the higher side. ( All thanks to T-Bhp, my ice expectations and my budget has been revised for the n'th time and i absolutely am on the limit as of now

can you post pix of frnt compo install

GTO in sealed would be a good choice (hope you and not getting a sealed box done). You can also checkout the IDs.

If you are looking for the level of SQ offered by JBL GT 12", then entry level subs from Ground Zero and Illusion Audio (~6k) are great options. Of course, you got to listen to these first.

Sub-tales

Guys,

As mentioned earlier, i am running an Oxygen 12" sub on a Clarion APA450 amp with two channels bridged. I spoke to my installer yesterday and he said that the sub is still good enough. I am meeting him tomorrow and he's asked me to wait for a tuning job before i decide.

Also my dilemma is that, is an Alpine mono
( Alpine MRP-M450/ 650 available for 200 USD and 300 USD respectively) better in terms of SQ over the JBL GTO 3501 Mono.

I have the 75.4 running the compos and wish to maintain atleast two pieces of my setup as the same. However if the Alpine really makes a difference then i'll think of going in for it.
