gigy
From where did you get the usb fm radio? I am looking for this for my car pC..
Dilip

got it through a guy of techenclave. its not worth buying. trying sourcing the dlink usb radio.

I have installed a lite version of vista ultimate, boot up time has reduced in comparison to xp pro. CF works fine. aero also looks good. changing ram in a week to 2gb 1066. hope it gets better then. i am on look out for a used or dead double din player to transfer the pc into it. Also need a new antenna for radio.

any new gadget you have opted for carputer gigy?

i would love to see this unique thing in practical ..imagine all things in one

are you using phone through centrafuse...
if yes which mic are you using?
what about the sound quality
is there any distortion as i have heard that normal mics are not worth it

lite version of vista ultimate, any link for this? ive never heard of it :(
i'd suggest you to DIY the double din for the carputer and it will be excatly the way you want it.

Dont have the link now but its from downloadarchives. search in operating system section. Didnt get double din case. least offer was 2500 for a supposed to be working model. so picked up two single din body from another place who gave it free. will fix them in the baleno stock frame. hope to complete it in two three days time.

the frame inthe 1st pic from alto's stereo din. this will work with you perfectly. all the best for ur DIY.

Baleno also has the same frame monty. Half the job is done. So called head unit is ready. re routing of wiring to be done.

perfect fitting dude. this looks going good and nice example of DIY.

superb man !!! i was in thoughts of doing this .. you stole my idealol:

Keeep it up , i will be needing your help as i am opting for obd2 module soon

installed the pc and its working. waiting for a new panel in market which can take the lcd.pic below. with this the whole thing can be made one piece. the vga cable will have to be fabricated in small size.

Moderators: request you to please change the thread as "My carputer project" as there is nothing budget about this whole thing now.

that's a marvelous work done
you can fabricate it byyourself

what you need is a small steel sheet cut it along the size of the lcd ,then check the alterations,
then search for a fibre making guy and make a frame for the same ,it will look like an oem thing..
