High-level to RCA converter is a completely different unit. Not needed for Blau HUs normally.

thanks for the reply, but i have a question now, I am getting a blaupunkt bahamas and the seller says it has two pre outs one for the front and one for the rear/sub. Does that mean it has only one RCA out in the front and the rear sub is a different type of out though its a pre out?

The 2nd pair is switchable - you get either a full-range signal corresponding to the Rear channels, or you get a signal limited to low-frequencies for the sub. The 2nd pair is also RCA. Please note that you will need the harness that brings out the Pre-outs from the rectangular connector to RCA sockets (usually comes in the box).

No, it does not have a USB option. However, you can connect an iPod - there is a specific accessory cable, which charges the iPod also. The iPod control connection is through the CD changer port, and audio is fed to the Aux-in port.

Basic query on the Bahamas MP34 Aux-In Cable.
The Blaupunkt cable is NOT a moulded one on the stereo connection side.

I fixed it twice and it comes back to square one. The stereo connection breaks and only speaker remains active. I called up Auto Shop in Bangalore and got to know Blaupunkt has shut operations in India. Hence I cant get a new cable. Fixing this one is the only solution.

I thought of exchanging the head unit, but since its in perfect condition, dont want to do it.
And also to change a HU because of a cable non-availability of a cable, seems a stupid idea.

Can any one suggest a solution? Any third party Blaupunkt compatible cable available, which I can lay my hands on?

Checked out from net that Mandovi Motors (Maruti dealers) are the authorized Blaupunkt dealers in Bangalore. Called them up and the guy said, they have a Aux-in cable available. I was cursing the guy in Koramangala as to why he lied that the Blaupunkt has stopped operations.

Drove to them in the afternoon and the official seemed shocked that some said actually said, its available. He also mentioned the same thing as what the Autoshop guy had mentioned. Looks like there is a change in Blaupunkt India Management and hence operations have been on hold for some time. (Thats what I heard from these guys)

Cursing the whole situation I was about to leave the place, when they called me back and said one cable is available. And to my luck, this one is a moulded stereo cable. Hence no chance of a solder coming out. Paid 400 bucks and my Bahamas response is as good as it can be.

I know a simple solder of the older one should have solve the problem, but I wanted a permanent fix.

All's well that ends well!
