Hi,
Just wanted to hear your choice of some of the bass heavy songs. By Bass heavy I mean the spectrum of frequencies one can hear and not just the BANG BANG!!
Heres my list - feel free to add to it!
1. Michael Jackson - Billy Jean
2. U2 - With or without you.
3. Eagles - Love will keep us alive
4. AKON - I wanna **** you [The preferred Tbhp song ?]
5. Santana - Black Magic woman
6. Prodigy - Smack my bitch up!
7. Judas Priest - A touch of Evil
8. Saigon Kick - I Love you
9. Iron Maiden - Afraid to shoot strangers
10. The Doors - L A Woman
I have heard many many recordings of the famous (originally Fleetwood Mac) song called Black Magic Woman. It is not a low-bass track. Neither is LA woman.
In fact Billy Idol's version of LA Woman is a better speaker tester than Jim Morrison's. As recording quality goes.
Same with JP's A touch of evil and SK's I love you. Great slow rock, varied and a great listen, but hardly bass heavy songs.

Well Sam, I meant the varied frequencies one hears! I do know that they are not necessarily bass heavy! Will listen to the Billy Idol version of LA woman soon!

That was the only reason I commented my friend. I do not want people to go running out to buy these CDs thinking that they are bass heavy. That's all.

No issues - Just wanted to listen to more music that offered variety and have always appreciated some of the above, time and time again. Hence thought of some inputs from you guys
cheers:

Speaking of the Doors, another one with a nice bass line is Wishful Sin.

What? People still buy CDs?
Anyone here listed Inna-Gadda-da-Vida (Iron Butterfly) or some Trilok Gurtu's work? I know they are not has heavy as some of the modern music (House, Hip-Hop, etc..) but they offer more bass detail.

I know items 1, 2 and 5. But why do you call them 'low bass'? They have lots of bass, and it sounds damn good if you have a good player in your car.

Downloads don't usually come in high bit rates unless you buy the music.

Off topic- best way of storing music would be to convert to lossless formats like flac. You dont have to stack all the CD's

I did not suggest I am into piracy. But there are many sites that offer downloads free, but the bit rates are poor. So, it makes sense to buy CD's: that was my point. And there are enough people around who keep looking for free download sites.
