Okay - Thank You gents. This is what I am doing:
1) Getting the faceplate checked out today at a service center.
2) If this fails - breaking into Dhanno and stealing Dhanno's head unit. I will leave a 5 rupee coin (Collectors edition circa 1999) for the owners troubles.
3) If I encounter an angry Bhpian clutching an empty bottle of Vat69 as I break into Dhanno - I will get one of these fake 'Somy's" or "JWC" or "KenKaWood". Maybe I'll add an "Erecshion" bluetooth unit. All seem less risky than dealing with Moradabad Mafia.
